Bird sensory puzzle

With cardboard and glue, you can create wonderful things like fill-in-the-blank puzzles.

There are several advantages to making your own supports:

  1. customisation. You can fit them to your children's desires, or to a theme you want to explore with them.

  2. Budget. In the shops, this type of support can be quite expensive according the amount of time the child plays with this object.

Here, I'll show you the materials and the different stages involved in creating a bird-shaped fill-in-the-blank puzzle.

Materials :

-pencil

-cardboard

-scissors

-glue

-different coloured seeds

-spoons and/or tweezer

Step-by-steps :

1. Draw the shape of a bird on cardboard (~25cm from beak to tail) and cut it out.

2. Cut 1 cm wide strips of cardboard. Glue the strips of card to delimit the different areas of the puzzle. Leave to dry.

3. Fill several containers with different seeds. Using a spoon, tweezer or even fingers, fill the different parts of the bird.
